I thank GOD that I was born in 1956 and grew up in a time when as children we were taught things like…

1) To believe and trust in our Father GOD for their needs
2) That the United States of America is the greatest nation on Earth
3) To respect our elders
4) To respect people’s property
5) If we wanted to be admired and respected we would have to earn it
6) That the world doesn’t owe anyone a living
7) To stand up to bullies, for the weak and for what is right
8) That we alone are responsible for the choices that we make in life
9) That we can have, achieve or become anything if we are willing to work hard and earn it

Today they are taught…

1) To trust Uncle Sam for their needs
2) That America and American are the cause of all the evils in the world
3) To not let their parents push old fashion values and morals on them
4) Private property is a form of greed
5) That they are wonderful, just because they are
6) That the government should take from those who have and give it to those who do not
7) Fighting doesn’t solve anything
8) Its can’t be their fault so they should blame it on someone else
9) If you excel, you must be doing it at someone else’s expense

I was in school in the 50s. Except for the complete lack of computers, it wasn't too bad.

Scenario 10:

Stella buys coffee from an eatery and promptly spills coffee in her lap.

1957--Stella is sitting in a diner and rushes to the powder room where she finds her girdle has helped protect her from serious burns.

2009--The cup of coffee carries the words "Caution: HOT!!" in 6 major languages on the cup, but Stella, an illegal immigrant doesn't even know how to read her native tongue. Stella donning nothing but absorbent sweat pants and confined to the limits of a used sports car receives 3rd degree burns, is rushed to the hospital in an ambulance on taxpayer funds, and sues the eatery for $2.9M. After the lawsuit, the company reduces the temperature of the coffee, but Stella calls 911 for getting served a cup of cold coffee.

After last night's vote, I feel very sick as well. The problem with these Obamamorons is they they look at issues with blinders on. They are so enthroned with Obama that they can't see the forest thru the trees. It's ok to debate with them, but they don't want that, they look at us Conservatives as *nut cases*.. and I'm sorry but I can not deal with people like that. In my clear and 20/20 eyes, the Democrat party is following the lead of Jim Jones and the faithful at Jonestown. It is chilling to observe so many politicians gulping cyanide-laced kool-aid in fanatical unison. Americans will never forgive the Democrats for this attempt to force gigantic government expansion and debt upon them. The Democrat leadership has destroyed the party for a generation or more.
The Democrats have voted in unison to debate the bill. It seems that they have absolutely no understanding of how enraged the American people will be at this attempt to change America into a socialist state.
The socialist/democrats have just drawn the line in the sand.
They own this grievous disregard for the American people's wishes. They have no idea the payback they will be receiving. And they will deserve every bit of it. And they will live to regret it. This is the last straw.
There is really something wrong with those responsible for this incredible political folly. Whatever is wrong, they have sown and soon will become their Waterloo.
