Just a Thought

This weekend on one of the political talk programs, Turbo Tax Tim Geithner made the comment that the administration "...does not want to reward failure."

My question would be, then, why are we taking money away from successful businesses and punishing them, in order to give it to unsuccessful ones, allowing the unsuccessful ones to pay millions and millions of dollars out to their executives?

It's just a thought...

I think what he's referring to is GM's request for another bailout, and Obama saying that they could only have it after they restructure.

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm sure that makes us ALL feel MUCH BETTER about giving our hard-earned tax dollars that we get from successful enterprises to these failing companies so that their top management can get multiple millions of dollars in bonuses. I'll sleep much better tonight.

They are making sure that AIG doesn't happen again. In fact, they are saying that if the automakers want help, they have to fire some of their top executives. I wish they had done that with AIG. Actually, I wish they had let them all fail. Then we could start over.
